El comité de Aerobiología es uno de los muchos comités científicos con los que consta la Sociedad Española de Alergología e Inmunología Clínica. El principal objetivo del Comité es potenciar la investigación en el área de la aerobiología (estudio de los pólenes y hongos que se encuentran en el aire) y polinosis (enfermedades alérgicas producidas por los pólenes).

Aunque está formado mayoritariamente por alergólogos, en él también se encuentran biólogos, inmunólogos, médicos, técnicos de laboratorio y DUE. Cuenta con una RED de colectores (tipo Hirst) que está formado por más de 23 estaciones, cuyos miembros han sido debidamente entrenados en la captación y reconocimientos de los tipos polínicos más importantes desde un punto de vista alergológico.

El comité viene realizando recuentos de pólenes desde 1973 aunque de forma ininterrumpida y durante todo el año desde 1978. Los recuentos se facilitan a través de esta WEB de forma totalmente gratuita y sin restricciones para todos aquellas personas interesadas (profesionales o pacientes) siempre que su utilización no sea para fines comerciales.

El comité está totalmente abierto a cualquier miembro de la SEAIC que esté interesado en poner un colector de pólenes en el lugar donde trabaja, siempre que sea un área geográfica todavía no cubierta. El Comité realiza cursos básicos para enseñar a realizar los recuentos de pólenes (dentro del programa de formación continuada en alergología) y cursos avanzados para aquellos alergólogos que quieran incluirse en la Red de Colectores de la SEAIC. Los miembros que superan con éxito estos cursos entran automática- mente en la RED y sus datos se distribuyen junto con los de los demás miembros.

The Aerobiology committee is one of the many scientific committees with which the Spanish Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology consists. The main objective of the Committee is to enhance research in the area of ​​aerobiology (study of pollens and fungi found in the air) and polynose (allergic diseases caused by pollens).

Although it consists mostly of allergists, it also includes biologists, immunologists, doctors, laboratory technicians and DUE. It has a NETWORK of collectors (Hirst type) that is formed by more than 23 stations, whose members have been properly trained in the acquisition and recognition of the most important pollen types from an allergological point of view.

The committee has been doing pollen counts since 1973, although uninterruptedly and throughout the year since 1978. The counts are provided through this WEB completely free of charge and without restrictions for all interested persons (professionals or patients) provided that their use not for commercial purposes.

The committee is fully open to any member of the SEAIC who is interested in putting a pollen collector in the place where he works, provided it is a geographical area not yet covered. The Committee conducts basic courses to teach how to perform pollen counts (within the continuing education program in allergology) and advanced courses for those allergists who want to be included in the SEAIC Network of Collectors. Members who successfully pass these courses automatically enter the NETWORK and their data is distributed along with those of the other members.
